๐ŸŒŸ TOY SPOTLIGHT ๐ŸŒŸ: Shape Sorter

Shape sorters are popular toys, but I donโ€™t always see them used to their full potential! Obviously, they target shapes and matching but they can be used for so much more. I also love that they can target skills of varying levels of difficulty so they can be used across age ranges.

Fisher Price Shape Sorter: The classic version. These work great to use with water in a sensory bin or the bathtub.

Non-Toxic Wood Shape Sorter: Pros are that it is non-toxic, more durable and esthetically pleasing.

Farm Shape Sorter: You can mix things up a bit with the farm set. It is great for teaching early developing consonant-vowel sounds such as "ba," nae," & "moo." It is also great for pretend play!

Melissa & Doug Shape Sorter: Many of the families I work with have this shape sorter and the kids are obsessed with it! You can use it to target animal noises and pretend well as well!
